Boathooks is the brand new imprint of Sunpenny Publishing, designed to serve the boating community - from blue water sailing to canal boats, barges, riverboats, etc. We plan to launch in summer 2010 with our first books.

Please read our Submissions page carefully before querying. We are currently actively seeking short stories and articles for a Sailing Anthology, as well as full book manuscripts.

We are a small traditional publisher, but because it's our money we're putting out there, we have to truly love your book to take it on for the Boathooks list. And because boating books are a niche market, we will discuss with you the best sort of print runs to produce, depending on the book itself. If we love your book but can't take it on in the traditional way, we'll talk to you about alternatives.
